About Colleen

Two of my greatest loves are writing and helping others achieve their personal and career goals.  While these passions have always been present, it was a graduate internship that introduced me to résumé writing and career counseling and I was hooked.   Over the last 15 years, I have written hundreds of résumés and helped countless individuals achieve the careers of their dreams.  

I received my Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral degrees in Psychology from Rutgers University. I am a Certified Professional Résumé Writer, Certified Professional Career Coach, Certified Job-Loss Recovery Coach, Certified JobsOver50/Boomer Authority Career Coach,  Certified Professional in Online Job Search & Reputation Management, Certified Comprehensive Positive Psychology Coach, Certified Professional Life Coach, Certified Professional NLP Practitioner, NJ Licensed Professional Counselor, Distance Credentialed Counselor, Certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Specialist, and a member of the Professional Association of Résumé Writers & Career Coaches (PARW/CC), Career Directors International (CDI), and International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA). My professional background has included work as a psychotherapist, career counselor, university department director, and college instructor.  In addition to running Colleen's Career Creations, I also teach Counseling Psychology and Leadership Development courses at my two alma maters, the Rutgers University Graduate School of Education and Douglass College.
